Last week’s election was unforgettable. For some it was painful and for others, triumphant. But perhaps most notably, the election showed us that we are divided. We are seething with hurt, anger, and sadness on both sides of the fence. Didn’t it feel like the immediate aftermath felt like the air had been sucked out of the atmosphere?  Now, after a week, it’s time to pick up the pieces of the shattered foundation that once held up our country. I’m talking about relationships. I’m talking about friends. I’m talking about family and togetherness.

As Iyanla Vanzant says in her book Yesterday I Cried, it’s time to “clean up the crap.” When I feel like sh*t, I have a process where I work from the inside out and then the outside in for a full internal steam clean, like this:

Inside out: My thoughts. I know my thoughts create my world. And I know (from a LOT of trial and error) that only good can come from thoughts rooted in gratitude.

Outside in: Movement and breath. I warm up. I dance. I foam roll. I close my eyes and connect with music. I mobilize my joints. I breathe through the discomfort.

Movement and gratitude. Gratitude and movement. It’s a start. Would you like to try it with me? Because as divine timing would have it, I’ve already created something to offer you guys that fits the bill- it’s called GRATITUDE IN MOTION.

What is it?

Gratitude in Motion is a FREE 21-day challenge. Every day for 21 days, you’ll log into my membership site and view the move of the day (MOD). The MODs are simple and repetitive, and each one comes with a matching gratitude to meditate on as you repeat the move for one minute. That’s it. The idea is that across the world, for those 21 days, we will move together in unity. Meditating on the same thought. We’ll be on the same side. To see a little video with a preview of what we’ll be doing, click here.

When does it start?

We start together on Monday, November 21. You can register for free HERE.

The inspiration to create this challenge came up fast for me, just a few weeks ago. I executed it even faster, which is very unlike me. I felt it had to be done. I didn’t know we’d need it in the way we do- I had no way of knowing. All I know is that I would love so much for you to join me. PLEASE do. And share this message far and wide (share right from this message by clicking the appropriate button below). Let’s get back together, one breath at a time.

Hope to move together with you next week. In love and respect for who you are,

Erika
